Have had 2 LTs a 1999 and 2004 and2 years ago changed it for a GSA1200..that was ok but i miss the LT... and not really taken up with the 1300GT or the RT..
Dealers seem to want to push these 2 bikes more so the 1300GT with special offers.and the future 1600 looks like being an expensive bike.
So are there LTS still about new...have seen some 2009 ones ....just asking thanks Stewart UK

Nope! The '09 is the last of the breed! Soon to be replaced by the all mysterious 1600 GTL.

There are still some new '09's out there.

Two weeks ago the dealership in Grand Rapids had 18 2009's left in stock. They weren't dealing too much on the price either. That's part of the reason I bought a used one.

have a peek of ebay, few UK for sale. Older, but you might get a good price.

Does this one dealership have 18 LT's or is that the number available thru the BMW warehouse? If this one dealership has 18 of any one bike, thats an extremely high number, but if they only have 18 left in the warehouse, that could be all that is left of this bike nationwide, since 2009 is the last year of that model. I bought the 2009 LT last year and its a great ride. Also, with the 1600 coming out, its bound to be very expensive, maybe even upwards of $25k, so could the demand increase for the 2009s if people want a great ride but at a cheaper price?

Maybe I misunderstood the salesman. I thought he said that they had 18 but I could be wrong.

Hmmmm, having been to GR BMW before, although they're not a small dealership, they're not that big to have 18 LT's. They may only have about 30 bikes on the showroom floor. I have my doubts. Probably how many they have "access" to.

When I bought my 2009 two months ago there were officially 43 left in the US dealer network. I don't doubt the "18" number is how many are currently in the US dealer network.

Regardless, waiting for the 1600 and getting the inaugural year model of it is not a good gamble and certainly not worth the wait. I just got back from a nice cool fall weather ride and the LT is so perfect for country cruising. I am glad I didn't wait.

I just picked up a new 2009 today. My dealer says there are eight remaining new 2009's nationwide. If you're interested in the LT, go ahead and purchase one of the few remaining ones. They will increase in value when the new K1600GT(L) comes out as the price will undoubtedly creep close to the $30K mark. The K1200LT is a great bike and will satisfy most if not all.

Hi folks, I bought a new 2009 LT about two weeks ago, still waiting for bike to arrive. The dealer told me that there were six LT’s left in the NJ warehouse for the east coast. The bike I bought came from a shop in NY. Max BMW, great guys! They said no more K1200LT's will be made. The new 1600 six Cyl will replace it in 2011. They estimate the cost to be about $25,000 - $27,000. :bmw:

My 05 being paid off I will wait until I can find a good deal on a 3 or 4 year old K1600, and maybe still keep the LT.
