Howdy all:

I hope you are doing well.

Do most parts have part numbers on them? If not, is there a way to find out?

I am looking at some front discs and do not see any part numbers on them. Also curious about wheels, abs rings and such.

any thoughts? It seems that they would all be marked somehow.

Here's a great parts dealer's site with what you are looking for:

Wow, thanks that is cool, I did not know about that one. I have been using this one- http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/MainDiagrams.asp?mospid=47964

This is where my confusion has come in though. I have gotten some extra parts for my bike but I am not sure they are the correct ones. I have another set of wheels, rotors, abs ring and such but not sure if they are for the newer bikes or if they will work on my 00.

Another source for BMW part numbers, motorcycles and cars, is:
www.realoem.com

The prices are not up to date, and you cannot order from them, but this is the BMW ETK parts system. I use it for my two BMW cars. Not only for part numbers, but sometimes helps in disassembly/disassembly.
