Just brought my new to me 06 K1200 LT home from the US into BC. Canada.
Part of the import documents ask for the month and year of manufacture.
Where do I find that info. I thought there was a sticker somewhere like all cars have? Can anyone help me locate this info?
Love the bike. Nice growl to the engine, great handling too. Just noticed a little buzz or vibration somewhere near the front of the fairing. Can't figure what it is, but will get used to it.

Not sure about your 2006 but on my 2009 do this.

Stand on the L/H side of the bike and raise the seat.
Look under the seat in what would be the R/H frame rail area.
You'll see the frame rail runs under the lip of and follows an exterior panel.
Attached to the outboard side of the frame rail mostly hidden by the piece of tupperware is a white data tags with the info you need. You need a flash light to see it but it's there. Took me a minute to find it

I found the decoder site and it said that my bike was manufactured on 2005 /11. or Nov 05. Thats all I need for the importation documents.
Just a few weeks then I can get out there and enjoy the ride.

Huh. My 06 K1200LT comes up as an 04 R1200GS. Odd. At least it wasn't an F650 .
