A while back, and after a pretty thorough search (I must not be looking in the right area) someone posted a fabricated bracket of Aluminum to go in the space where the (useless to me) dashlight is. Anybody point me to that, or can send me pics?

Hi Dave,

If no one on the forum has the H bracket, try Beemer Boneyard. They might have one laying around. Have you picked out a GPS? Might do that first and then look for a bracket. They are not all interchangeable.

Yes, using the Garmin 1390. Mount is not the problem for the unit, I have that - somebody showed an ingenious piece that replaced the dash light, looked like fab'd out of Aluminum - that's what I'm looking for.

This is not the aluminum one but this is the GPS mount that BMW made

Sold one here on the site a few months ago - these are hard to find.

I have the BMW installation manual I can send you - 7 Page PDF and finally
call around BMW shops with the following part number: 99 99 0 000 257

When BMW supplied the kit they also included a rubber piece that fit into the
map light area when this bracket protruded out and sealed up the hole.
