I purchased MAGURA BLOOD HYDRAULIC MINERAL OIL from Biker Banit. I thought that it would reduce the maintenance cost in the long term. I do not see that anyone is mentioning this stuff as an option. Is this bio mineral oil ok to use for my clutch system? I have a 2001 with 50,000 miles

You've got a dry clutch, your clutch hydraulics don't have a very high demand on the fluid.

Now...is your particular flavor appropriate? No friggen clue. ;)

The RT uses mineral oil for the clutch hydraulics, lifetime fluid :rolleyes:
It's not compatible with brake fluid.
I wouldn't recommend using it on the LT.

Don't use it the seals in the LT clutch hydraulics won't like it. Only DOT4.

Thanks for another life lesson. Guess it's time to bleed the line AGAIN Maybe I'll wait for the Speed Bleeders

Easy question to answer: What does the reservoir cover on the clutch master cylinder say? If it says mineral oil, then you can use it. If it says DOT4, then you use DOT4. Simple. :)

Ok I have no clutch I know I need to replace the slave cylinder seal Nd the reservoir gasket. The question I have is do i need to replace or rebuild the clutch cylinder or any other parts.

Since you put Mineral Oil in you need the following items to restore proper operation:
32 72 2 333 063 RUBBER BOOT 1 $9.69

21 52 2 333 433 OUTPUT CYLINDER CLUTCH - D=200.32 1 $146.03
32 72 7 665 445 MAINTENANCE KIT, PISTON - D=13MM0.02 1 $72.38



The kit is for the master cylinder - no kit for the slave. You have to pull the swing arm to replace the slave cylinder. Take a look at the Weep Hole video in the sticky at the top of the page to see what is involved there.
