Do you really want to buy a cheap, can make it work, etc trailer to haul your precious cargo? You can prolly rent a UHaul motorcycle trailer for about $40 when you need a trailer. JMTCW

Found this one for 25 per day, but it is a little on the overkill side I think and weighs 1250# Requires a class 2 hitch, not available for any of my "cars".

This one however will work and is only 9.95 per day and enclosed. I'd just have to use my ramps.

Might not be too bad an idea.

I would like the luxury of just loading and going whenever I pleased and I'm not worried about securing the cargo as I used to run Flatbed over the road.

Jason - that 2nd one (the 4' x 8' enclosed one) won't work for an LT. I tried it once, a long time ago, and the inside measurements wouldn't make it. The LT is 8'2" in length (a tad longer if the top box is mounted in the rearmost position) and the windshield would have to come off. The actual rear opening of the trailer is 3'1", with the LT's width being 43" or so, o/s mirror to o/s mirror. The worse part is, no room to work the tie downs.

U-Haul does offer a motorcycle specific trailer that has a loading ramp tailgate that will hinge in two positions. Has a built in chock and tie-down points, as well as a railing. When I haul ole Toad, the tailgate 'almost' rubs the top box in the straight up vertical position, so I drop the tailgate back to the second position, which increases the tailgate to top box distance. Down here, that trailer rents for ~$15 per day. Only drawback - it is not a one-way trailer; you gotta return it where you got it.

This is their motorcycle trailer, might check dims and pricing in your area.

I own the 2nd one from the tractor store. Not a bad trailer
If I were going to haul my LT on it much I would make this simple mod.
Mig weld a piece 2x2" angle iron from half way down the tongue to both front corner's of the trailer.
Does triple duty, single tongue trailer's almost always fail at the tounge-body joint (thats where all the stress hits) it gives you a place to mount tool box and spare and is now as strong as a 3500lb trailer.
