I'm leaving Friday morning for Orlando/Kissimmee, FL through next Thursday. Anyone in FL want to get together for a ride to eat, Sat. to Wed.? Time and day doesn't matter, as I can be flexible, since I'm on vacation. In Jan. we went to the River Ranch Resort. That's a possible location, but not being from the area, I don't know all the good places. Somebody, toss out a place you like and we'll see what kind of responses we get. I know this is short notice, but maybe we can put something together. Thanks

Hi Lee,

If, I'm around and I can make it, wherever it is decided, I'll be there. The River Ranch is a little out of the way, but a real nice ride from Tampa. I'll keep up with the thread and see what develops.

It was really nice to meet you and Dave last month and the help I received was greatly appreciated. In about four weeks ( May 13th ) we get our first local preview of the new K1600GTL.

If you guys decide upon a day and place, please post it here,
I won't know if I can attend until around 9am the morning of that day.

As of about a month ago I'm no longer a retired "man of leasure"
I'm back out on the water, I took a job as a boat Captain running a local tourist boat,
(I wasn't looking, the owner called me) :)

this is a brand new boat and a brand new company,

until we get "the business" built up I'm their only Captain and I'm always "on call"

I love it, it's a tough job but somebody has got to get all those bikini's to the island. :D

Dan or Hans,
Since you are both on the west coast, I can easily ride that way. Do either of you have a restaurant you like near Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater?

Dave,
Will meeting in the Tampa area help you with the tire situation? How about a place you like to eat?

I've been to Tampa a couple times over the years. Busch Gardens has a roller coaster or two that I had to ride. :D

Hey Lee, would love to meet up with you but Tampa is a little far for a lunch ride for me. But, if nothing develops over in that area and you'd like to ride north from Orlando I could suggest some place like Corkey Bells in Palatka, or Black Water Inn near Barberville. However, if I don't get to say HI in person, enjoy your time in Florida.

I would love to see Lynn again and the riding in his suggested areas is very desirable
but not do-able for me in my current situation,
my advice is to consider his offer with high regard.

If we can put something together around here
then I'd like to throw out a suggestion for Pancho's Villa in San Antonio,
but keep in mind there's a fifty/fifty chance
that I will or won't be there!

San Antonio isn't too far from Kissimmee, so how about Pancho's Villa? Saturday, high noon good? If not, let me know. I'm flexible.

Lynn,
PM sent.

Didn't get to meet up with anyone for the RTE. Just too little notice. I was able to meet our own DanDiver through ?? inches of plexiglass while he was a rescue diver in the reef tank. I took some pics of the diver carrying on a Q&A with the audience, while Dan, and some of their toothy co-stars looked on nearby. There were two barracudas and five sand tiger sharks and a number of less fierce looking fish.

After the show, Dan took us around the aquarium and pointed out some of the interesting residents.

Thanks, Dan. It was good seeing you again.

Thanks Lee,

I had fun too. Looks like heat coming off my head in the picture. Must be an inf-red camera!
