Just wandering if anyone has had a center-stand (Manual) break at the cross bar welds?
I have had 2 break on my 2000, one about 6 years ago and the second just two weeks ago. I use the center stand 99.5% of the time.

I have seen several posts here where that has happened. There was one where the owner had welded some gussets on to strengthen the stand. You are not alone.

I have some extra gussets that you can have for what they cost me $16 plus shipping.
Is this a commercial item or did you design/build them? Either way they are quite elegant and I am also interested.

I took a template to a shop to have them give me a quote & they went ahead and made 10 pairs of them. The $16 is my cost plus I had to pay a one time set up charge. I think I have 6 pair left.

i would suspect the damage would be more from when the bike goes on the stand than
getting it off. getting it on the legs take the weight shock when the bike stop going backward.
i would be interested in knowing if it happens more on non power kickstand bikes.because when i give it the get up there flick. it pops right up.
when i saw a power bike go up it seemed smoother.
