Have a 2002 LTC and planning to add some extras. Any hints on where to install the fuse panel or any other tips/lessons learned would be appreciated.

Jim,
If you didn't buy yet, I would recommend you to get the Centech AP-2.
It will give you key power and direct battery sources in one unit and I found that it is useful.
I have one install on my GS here:
http://www.viajareua.com/BMW_GS_Auxiliary_Lights.html
(it's for the Hella lights, but I also install the Centehc and you can see pictures there).

I also bought the wired centech from David at Esternbeaver
http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Products/Fuseboxes/AP-2/ap-2.html
He does a very good job wiring ready for use.

+1 on Centech and Eastern Beaver wiring loom (helpful if you're not a wiring type person).

I mounted my Centech in one of these trays above the battery.

If you do a search around the forum you'll find various other references to mounting etc. that I found extremely helpful when I installed mine.

Elton,
I'm wondering if the CENTECH 2 is still viable product. When I look at CENTECH's we site; http://www.centechwire.com/index.html The AP-2 is not listed in their product line and when I check your reference to Easternbeaver iit's shown as OUT OF STOCK. Wondering if you or anyone else knows if that product is available?

Thanks for the info. I already purchased the AP-1 as all "new" stuff will be either removable or have its own switch. Your documentationtation and schematic were excellent. You could be a tech writer.

Centech is not very good at updating their website. I did a google of Centech AP-2 and got several hits of different sites that sell and have it in stock.
I installed two AP-1's on my new GT about 5 months ago to get the switched/unswitched capability and will probably order the new AP-2 and get rid of one of the AP-1's and a lot of wire. :yeah:

Lynn,
google "centech ap-2" pop out many web sites selling it. Easternbeaver may have it soon as I was told that the new ap-2 was selling pretty good.
Now, I have no clue why centech web site won't show it there !! ???
