Go with "The Kermit"...once in a lifetime purchase, well worth the price. Well, made, easy assembly/disassembly and folds up in a small package.

+ 1 on the Kermit.
I know they're expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Think of it as an investment, it is.

I bought the Pico chair for a recent camping trip. It is comfy and it packs down small. But the way I loaded my bike it pushed the roll bag forward by about three inches. That combined with one of the legs not locking out means its going back to the store.

I may go after the Kermit chair as it packs into a roll instead of a rectangle.

The PICO can be packed for hauling on the LT rack (we pack 2 on there) for those that like them.

I got the Alite Monarch Butterfly chair, Two legs but it is super lite and packs small enough it is always in my side case with my jetboil if I decide I want to stop for cup of coffee in middle of no where. I actually bought two of them, so My wife could have some where to set. $67 from REI.

Kermit chair for sale!

I have a gorgeous, blue Kermit chair, complete with leg extensions and cup holder that I'll sell if anyone's interested. PM me and we'll work out the details. I've used it maybe 3 times, although honestly, I can only remember one occasion.

Several years ago, I got roped into setting up a group buy for these chairs on this very forum. So many people ordered them, the owner of the company sent me this one for free.

You did a good job with that Joe, Thanks, I got two Kermits in that group buy then.

Anyway,
I have lately been using a chair a friend of mine made up. He took a cheep bag chair, then took it apart & shortened up the legs a few inches. It now is a lot easer to pack on the bike, & if I ever brake it. I can put it in the trash & not be out much.

I use a tripod stool, no back but I have to say I really don't miss it, folds up very small and its light, they sell for between $10 and $90 dependent on brand. We do a lot of camping on the bike so size is always an issue.
