So excited - I can hardly wait. Last ride was a 10 day Western states ride (AZ, NM, CO, UT, NV) back in October '20.

This weekend we are going to go on one of our favorite overnight rides - from Pasadena, coffee in Ojai, lunch in Pismo, then hit Old Creek Road and Santa Rosa Creek Rd. into Cambria. Cigars and Scotch and then dinner in town. Sunday we will have breakfast in Paso Robles, then come down through Creston and work our way to McKittrick and back into Ojai for yet another coffee break and then back to Pasadena. The routes are combinations of rides over the years - all favorites and the restaurants as well. It's like visiting an old friend.

Just had to share.

Sounds like a great ride. Care to share the route?

So Cal boy here, would love to join you all on one these. Made a similar ride about a month ago just past San Simeon, although no stops, except the quicky and fuel, solo ride post clutch replacement. You all ride and stay safe!

If you like wine, visit Justin Vineyards, 45minute great ride from Cambria, they produce great reds almost as good as in Oz :)

Out of Pasadena
210 west to 118
Off at Princeton (make a left)
West to Spring Road (this takes you to the 23
North on 23 to the 126
126 to 150 (Santa Paula)
follow the 150 into Ojai - good coffee at Ojai Coffee Roaster at South Montgomery St.
West on 150 out of town to the 33 (nice place to stop for water and stretch the legs is the Ozena Fire Station - lots of shade and parking)
33 - 166
West on 166 to the 101
Lunch at The Quarterdeck (fried clams and bloody marys are off the charts)
101 to 1 to Old Creek Rd
Other side of the 46 it becomes the Santa Rosa Creek Rd
Follow that into Cambria - warning the stop sign at the end of SR Creek Rd and Main comes up REAL quick!

Great place for breakfast is Creekside Gardens (that is if you're not going into Paso Robles for the Cowgirl Cafe!
Good place for dinner is Robbins - better make a reservation
The sow's ear is also good for dinner - both are a bit pricey for a road trip but well earned.
