Next time I decide to go to D.C.(or n.e.) from the Fl panhandle in april I'll will own heated socks and a vest. Call me a woosy or whatever, but rain and 42 degrees wares on a southern boy. Never got wet in our Olympia gear and tcm boots but after a few hours the bones get chilled. Rained all nine days (28mar-4apr). Now I know why at bmw of atl. the owner said I would love the windshield, now I know! However, anyday on a trip with my s/o, rain or not is better than being at work! Grannyman

April showers bring May flowers :) so now you appreciate Florida more right?

It probably rained a lot more than just nine days
and you should consider yourself lucky if rain is all you had to deal with,
I've seen snow and/or sleet in the NE in April.

When I lived in Michigan (early 70's) and all I had was a Harley
I rode to work or home in the rain 30 out of 31 days one year in May.
