on my test ride last weekend with about 80 lbs in the trailer the suspension was a little tipped in at the top(- camber)not much but the faster i went about 75-80 mph it seemed to get a little skateie(for lack of a better word)not bad but could see it move around a couple of inches.is that due to suspension setting or just ruts in the road and speed i was traveling(i know 80 is prob a little quick pulling the trailer) but i drive that fast with the unigo behind on a reg, basis.
do you have a perferred line you ride in with your rig ie bike in the center trailer wheels straddeling the crown of the road
Sorry for the late response Bob But I've pull my Bushtec at over 100 MPH both full & empty & it never wondered around behind me. Yours my have to do with the Camber being a little out or in as it was. That was the main reason I went with the Compressor on mine to make setting up the ride better.
Wheel camber effects trailer tracking, but so does hitch weight.
With the wheels vertical, make sure to load the trailer such that 10%
to 15% of the total weight is on the hitch. The Quantum empty is around
150 lbs so you would still need about 15 - 20 load on the hitch.
Becomes really important at higher speeds, but when correct
you will not even know it there. Even at 100. HTH
completed the air system install on thursday seems cool very easy install cant wait till the weekend to check it out. i am going to build a guard for the compressor to match
the false floor i built for storage(spare tire & tools) pic,s to follow
