Go for it, it is very straight forward. The OEM front line comes with both pieces as one part #. Some folks go for the Speigler brake lines which seem to hold up better. Also, it is best to replace all of them at the same time mho.

If you are just replacing that one line try to keep fluid loss to a minimum. Then make sure you have the rear (back half) of the rear reservoir full (#1). Connect a long piece of clear tubing to the closest caliper to the line youreplaced) and run it back to that same reservoir. Open the bleed nipple on the caliper and turn on the key and let the ABS pump move the fluid. Pump until there are no air bubbles in the line. Keep a close eye on the reservoir and don't let it go empty. Once the air is gone close the nipple and remove the tubing. Top off the reservoir and enjoy.
OK I re-read your post and I am not real clear on which hose you are talking about. If it is any hose other than #1 this post will help. If it is hose #1 I need to give ayou a different procedure.

OK then forget what I posted earlier.
This is all within the front control circuit so you would have to just bleed from the reservoir down to the ABS pump unit. Open the reservoir up and suck all the fluid out of it before you remove the old hose. Then install the new hose but leave the reservoir empty. Get a large syringe ( I get mine at a local Tractor Supply) and some tubing and push fluid from the long bleed nipple (#4) on the outboard side of the ABS unit up to the reservoir. If you are careful and make sure the tubing is full of fluid when you put it on the bleed nipple you should be done when you fill the reservoir with the syringe.
Another way would be to use the filler port shown in #1. You need to have an M10 short bleed nipple to insert once you remove the grub screw but this method eliminates any air getting into the ABS as this is between the reservoir and the ABS unit. Might be a better way to do it.

You need to remove the big black screw on the contol face, the tiny silver screw on the back side in the mirror hole and the silver screw under neath the controls. Then you can pull all that away and get to the 4 mm allen on the master cylinder.
