My k1200lt 2002 Has developed a fault and i cant find the reason.

I replaced front and rear brake switches the lights stay on
I replaced the brake lamp relay the lights stay on
I removed the fuse lights go out put a new fuse in brake lights always on

Where or what should i do next. This is an IABS system.

So now I have to ride without brake lights its dangerous i know but it is the only transport.

Hi Peter... some basic questions that might help others give you a clue.
Q. Do you have access to anyone with a GS911 reader that can check the fault codes?
Also, do you still have the original rubber brake lines, or have they been changed out already? OEM rubber are known to swell internally with age and cause problems.

Note: BTW, better to put this in the general K1200LT forum section... site support is for geek-techy web issues.. not the bike stuff. ;D

All sorted I think.
The IABS plug was pulled and the pin 7 on the abs had been pushed back in5to the control unit took the abs control
unit off of the bike pushed the pin out re connected the plug all working again

bmw k1200lt 2000
I abs disconnected stainless brake hoses.

Now i have a spedo fault keeps showing 20mph whilst stationary. Could it be another wire???
I think I need a new loom. the dealers say it is a 1999 model but I have the Intergrated brake system and the later type conecters thet you cannot get for love or money.
Great bike to ride on long trips Rome to Boston 26hrs.

Speedo is on pins 37 and 38 of the ABS connector. Pin 7 was on the rear brake switch (open when brake is on).
