Yo Bros.....
I was reading about the broken off J-bolt and the concern about accidentally boogering up the hole threads, so thought I'd pass some info I found useful if you accidentally strip threads. Permatex makes a cool product that repairs stripped threads. It's a type of epoxy. First you mix the two parts, fill the stripped hole, coat the original bolt with the included "slip" agent, run the bolt into the (still wet) epoxy, remove the bolt and let it set. Voila....new threads that are truly strong (so far I've applied over 22 lbs of torgue and no problem). I've used it a couple times on aluminum and steel and it works very very well. I found it at a Napa auto parts store.

OF COURSE, IT'S BEST NOT TO STRIP THE *$#*!! IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!

Yep! The description says it'll handle 120 lbs of torque. I've never had to apply that much to my repairs, but am sure it'll handle anything on our machines. Great item for the toolbox.
