Well of the Phoenix tomorrow on the 10:25 am flight from Calgary, arriving around 1:30 PM, off to Barrett Jackson and then picking up a new to me 2002 K1200 LT with only 24,000 miles on it, and play around with it and ride it. Farkling it out to suit me. :) :)

I am just wondering if you got it from a owner or dealer;;to come from Canada to just pick up your LT and ride it. Good luck

I did something similar last summer. Only I flew from Seattle to Sherman Oaks Ca. I found it on Craig's List and after a lot of phone calls to him and the dealer he bought and serviced it at, decided to buy it. 2007 LT with 6500 mi. Pretty much new. That was a nice ride home.

Bought from a p.rivate sale, have all paperwork and recall letter to import into Canada, probably in June.

In regards to the Fort Worth. Rack, may decide against removing the Top Box,heard posters on the site complaining that the LT was top heavy, don,t find this at all as my other bike is a 2010 CVO Ultra and I do not find any problem with the weight. Or low speed manouvers.

Have been getting used to the differences between the HD and the LT, got rid of the CD Changer in the saddlebag and got the DICE.????? IPod interphase unit works great. Added RT Mirrors, hate the fairing mount mirrors. May add floorboards tommorrow, so far don,t mind the pegs.

Have put on over 400 miles today, have to get used how quite the bike runs.

Well tomorrow is another day.

The weather is great better than -29 deg. C

Living in Florida we share the same weather for most of the year. Top box off during the winter, not much long distance riding then, back on in the spring, summer, and fall when I'm traveling around the US. I found just the right size duffel for the rack( I actually put a rectangle of 3/16" aluminum in the bottom of the duffel so it would hold its shape). It worked out just fine. The only thing I missed was the rear speakers. What you won't miss is the loaded weight of the top box. Also, the bike looks good without the box on the back.
