Good morning,

I have perused forum after forum... and I still don't have a resolve so I want to start a new thread.

My dad purchased a 1993 K1100LT. He's brought it home and here's the deal

It won't start. There's power (new battery). He's tried it on the side stand and on the full up maintenance stand, and sitting on the bike with the stand up.

He hears no 'whir' of the fuel pump, so he ordered a replacement fuel pump and the problem remained the same... so it seems that it MUST be something before. Fuses look good. Relays seem to check out.

This bike is in great condition and was well taken care of. I feel like this is a REALLY simple issue that we're missing because we aren't familiar with BMW motorcycles... but I have the utmost FAITH that someone on here has the answer.

Please... help... Thank you!!!!

Also do not trust visual fuse checks, use a meter or a continuity light. One of the permissives is locking you out. I suggest you check the wire connectors to the side stand, do a search on the web for by passing the side stand switch, purchase a clymer book on the bike and the most readers for this bike are on IBMW.COM
