Is there any special trick or procedure for changing the Battery on my 05 or can i just change it like i have on many other vehicles. Thank you :bmw:

Just like changing an auto battery. Except for the throttle reset.

I found an old thread that will help you doing that, and why you have to do it.

I pulled mine out several times and never had to reset the throttle. Disconnected the battery several more to hook up items and still didn't have to reset the throttle.

Disconnect the negative lead first, then the positive.
Reconnect positive first then negative.

Just keep track of the leads on the positive terminal. There are several and often one gets left off. There is usually only one on the negative side but it feeds a tie block behind the battery where all the other negative ( brown) leads go.
