I just bought one from this site last week. Great transaction, great battery.

Battery Stuff.com

Batteries plus is a little more expensive as far as I can tell. Here's the link:

Whew - Odysseys have gone up just a leetle since I bought my last one several years ag!!o. I think I paid less than 90 bones, delivered.

Now, on the advice and suggestion from Alan Stuber, over in Austin, ole Toad is running on the Panasonic listed here. It's got better specs and rarely discharges below 12.71v standing, without a tender. And I kindy like the price!! :thumb:

Just sayin'!!

Wouldn't complain about the price of the BMW OEM gell battery. Just bought a new battery for my MacBook in London at the flag ship store in Regent Street.
£ 99.00. Wow :(

The BMW GelCell I just replaced lasted about 24-months; I expect the BikeMaster replacement to last 2-years.

Question.

My battery is a couple of years old. When it started getting cold it wasn't holding a charge. After sitting a few days it was dead. The last week it's gotten alot colder at night ( in the 30s ) and I was starting almost every day or at least every other day. This morning came out after starting it yesterday and it was dead again. Time to buy another?

I definately like the price of that Panasonic. Even better that they are in Texas too.

Thanks!

For all those such as myself finding their BMW gel batteries dead with little time or use (mine was only 15 months), your charger may be the culprit! I found out too late and paid the price. You need to match the amp and charge rates. I went with the smallest mA trickle charger, but that cooked the battery.

Went with the Panasonic. Another lesson learned the hard way!

BTW, the rep for the company that makes the charges said there were many more failures with BMW Gel batteries, than just about any other type or brand.

Been using the Suitable Crosses:UB12220 Universal 12 Volt 22AH Battery $42.95 for about a year and it's doing fine...

And like you said up can pick it up in Dallas...
