You could also try a "Battery Tender". I know mine won't last more than a week if its not kept on the tender. You may also get the added benefit of longer battery life.

I second Ross' suggestion. My LT has a gel battery so i can't be maintained on a conventional charger. I bought the BMW charger but I think any electronically-controlled one will do. I put the bike on charge if I don't use it for more than a week and it must have done something right because I'm still on the original battery, which is just over 7 years old.

I second Rockdoc.When not in use I have the bike on charge using a Optimate charger and i'm still on the origional gel battery which is now 6 years old.

I just use a cheapy Halfords charger which I plug into the 12V outlet on the lower left of the fairing every time I park up. I use a similar one on my Merc, and both the bike and the car are still on their original batteries.
