Still working on the photos, but Google Plus created a "story" for me. While I am writing my ride report (ETA next week), feel free to take a look at the G+ 'story' (all automatically generated; I just backed up my photos to Google Drive, and Google Photos did the rest - pretty slick, albeit not perfect :bmw:)

Looks like you had a great time on What I am considering for my next bike. Any issues with the bike and do they make cup holders for it. I noticed the header pipes seem to be turning color in some of the photos is this normal with these bikes?

It's a ZTechnik "Storage Pod". I bought it locally, but I think a Google search for the name should bring up some online sellers...

No issues with bike whatsoever. No idea about cup holders. Yes, the pipes will turn colors, that's normal.

In order :)...

Slightly over 3,600 miles in total.

Camera was on a lanyard around my neck.

EDIT - Here's the coordinates of that awesome 'secret' camping spot :)

I put together a video of the handheld clips I shot during my NM/AZ ride in April. Keep in mind this is no GoPro... I used my Olympus Stylus SH-50 mostly held in the left/clutch hand while riding to shoot these clips. Usually, the camera hangs on a lanyard around my neck, so it's easy to pick up and take photos.

This trip I tried to add some video, and at the same time experimented with the new features on the RT - Hill Assist and Shift Assist (or whatever they are called)... I found that shift assist works great when your clutch hand is busy holding a camera e.g. and you need to shift before a curve ;). Also found hill assist to be great when stopping on the side of the road to take a photo (both hands), and you need to 'immobilize' the bike ;).

I am a former AZ resident, and I loved exploring the southwest. That was before BMW ownership, so all longer trips were on 4 wheels. Great photos, thanks for bringing back some fond memories!

Great story! Thanks so much for sharing. I've been out of town almost entirely since buying my new bike so I haven't been able to ride much at all. Seeing your story has allowed me to do a little "riding" until I can get back and do the real thing!
