Just wanted to say thanks to Art & John for helping me out tonight, and staying up way past their bedtimes to do so. I finally wrangled a week off of work but needed a new front tire. And my new GPS mounted. And some other cleanup on the LT.

A quick phone call and I had two willing assistants, a nice shop to work in, a tire changer, and all the spare tools, nuts, washers, and velcro I could ever need.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help. But next time let's go riding instead.

Don't worry Ernie, Ken's Bike will not melt yet. Didn't even budge any of the protective sheath that is all over the fairing, but we did some forced cleaning of the windscreen (since it was off anyway) mirrors, vent wings, etc. Oh yeah, Art was really having trouble not cleaning the rest of the Bike, so he went ahead and cleaned the trunk rack "chrome" which was just screaming at us!

The new GPS is really neat, and fast! Plus, although it is quite heavy (huge heat sink on back) Ken did find a real sturdy mounting area with the shelf system he already has on the Bike that holds his radar detector. Looks like it should work out great.

And Ken, Tks for that gift you presented. As you well know, it really is an excellent tool that does exactly what it is supposed to!! Hope you have a safe ride South with your new toy.
