Anyone have or try the "Pro Pad?"

Does anyone have one of these or heard anything about them? The company is in Mooresville, NC and they offer a 2-yr warranty and a little bit of airflow and comfort - at first glance it appears worth it depending on which size. I sent them a message to see if they have one that will appear custom for the LTs....I'll post their response.

Looks good, same material they are using in military backpacks where it meets the back. (and that Ron Miller uses on his seats) This one is the one that also has a gel pad in it. They also have one with just the air fabric and no gel. I think I'll get one of those to cool off my Russel Day Long saddle. Nice find.
I have the large fabric Pro Pad. Quality seems good, I have had it for about 20K miles and no issues with workmanship. I alternate using it and not on long trips. I still have issues with a bit a chafing, so I am looking at custom seat options. I got mine at a Cycle Gear in Austin, on the way home from New Orleans one winter. I needed something, and it was better than nothing.

I have not heard of them but they are less than 15 miles from me. I'll visit there office soon.

+1 Dave....

Here's the reply from Tracy at Pro Pad.....

The best fit we have for your bike is probably the large. The SuprCruzr may be a tad too long at 17" for that seat though it is saddle shaped.

Dale, was it the pad that caused the chafing on long rides?

Thanks! :bmw:

It does say the large fits the LT. I'm tempted.
Hi Kenny,

In Australia we have a multipocket seat pad manufactured by Airhawk.

www.airhawk.com.au

Great jiggers that allow you to change the amount of air depending on your size, weight etc. Less is better than too much.

I am currently on an around Australia trip of 18 - 20,000 k's, and every day the Airhawk has been worth its weight in rocking horse doo doo. No bum paralysis.

Don't know if they are available in the States, but the guy here is more than helpful in fixing your inquiries.
Well...first thing I noticed is they spelled "prostate" wrong.

No, I bought the pad in the middle of a ride because of the chafing. It hasn't solved my problem, but gives a little different feel on the seat. So I kind of use it for a few hours and then take it off for a few.

I recently took a 400 mile ride and bought the fabric Pro Pad in a medium size for the return trip, It was an improvment over the stock seat but I'm having a custom rebuild on my original seat and will no longer need the Pro Pad. It's like new. I'll let it go for $60. + shipping.
