Anyone try flanging an R1100RT front fender onto an pre '06 LT? (Or any other kind of fender/mudguard for that matter)

Rebuilding the LT (deer strike in 2010) . Got all the parts but the front fender and rocker panels and finding these is tough!

Yes, the r1100rt fender will fit with a little material removed from under the top portion of the fender. The lower bolt holes are already on the LT forks. Paint to match and the total package looks like maybeit should, If you want pics let me know, did my 2001 and it looks fly!

There he is.

Is not an 06 is an 01 but should be the same. This fender is quite flexible you can bed it a little that the holes fit in to the fork holes. Long screws as before on the top holes and two short once on the lower end.

Awesome, thanks Manfred. Looks very good. I've ordered the RT fender on Ebay. The best thing about this is that there are plenty of used RT fenders out there at a very resonable price. (Try finding an LT fender)

Your timing is not any better than mine Big Ed. There is a '07 LT front fender listed on eBay today. If anyone else needs one, here is the link:

Yes, I think you have found a pretty good alternative. After seeing Manfred's photo, I think you are going to like that unique look. Where I come from, the LT itself is plenty unique just because it's not a Harley.

I am in need of Front Fender for my '99. Did you have to modify the R1200RT fender to get it to fit the LT?

I am OK with paint I purchase rattle cans color matched paint through APS.
