I have to agree but there are remedies.
Kroil oil: http://www.amazon.com/Kano-Kroil-Penetrating-liquid-KROIL/dp/B000F09CF4
Zep 45, a wonderful product that puts most light duty spray oils in the dumpster.
Acetone and ATF mixed, don't ask me..wtf, but most old machinists I know swear by it.
And some other products will make your day easier. The problem is most people would put too much neversieze on the O2 sensor going in and mess it up. A little dab will do ya. I am a fan though. (an old engineer on a boat I was once on always had silver fingers. He carried a can of neversieze in his back pocket of his overalls and a set of channel locks which I hated to see but standard fare on a steam boat. So his cigarettes were always silver tinged.) And take that can of WD40 and toss it in the trash unless its sole duty is tar removal or work bench cleaning. :p

Success is glorius. Next thing would have been a propane or MAPP gas torch, have to work fast heat and wrench as fast as you can so the inside part doesn't heat up too much.
