When was the last time you were rolling along thinking about getting away for a little golf? Wondering whether your local club would allow you to use your LT as a golf cart? Probably not. More likely if you rode it out on the course you'd be kilt.

So, what is it about kilts, anyway? Do they or don't they? Would Don Archer wear one on the Iron Butt? Would Munson preach in one? Would Largen wear his thong under it in summertime in Boerne?

I think we need to resolve the kilt controversy once and for all. As this year's CCR Chairman, I'm looking for someone who will go and investigate the whole kilt deal and report back to us at CCR2007. Interested? Read on. Since we are a charitable corporation, and in the wake of Enron and such, you'll have to go to Scotland on your own nickel. But we can help. If you come to CCR. Here's what we are going to do. To spice up the fund raising for this year's charity, Chateau Elan has graciously provided the following little item for us to auction off. Or raffle off. We are still thinking about that detail.

Chateau Elan is going to spring for a round of golf for two on the Devlin Course, and a round of golf for two on the Torrance course. And breakfast for two on those two mornings and on the three other mornings before, in between and after. So FIVE breakfasts! And, a free ride to the golf resort for two is included as well There AND back! And, so you can rest up before play, they are throwing in five nights in a deluxe room at the club as well. You can go any time within the year after CCR2006, so it will be perfect to report back to us on the kilt thing in 2007. Oh and the free ride will be on Continental Airlines from any US airport that they serve. Oh, yeah, if the course names don't ring a bell, they are located at the St. Andrews Bay Golf Resort and Spa, in St. Andrews, Scotland. And you can let us know about those Scottish kilts when you get back. Hoot mon! You interested?

You registered for CCR yet? Well put down your putter and get on the stick. Once registration is closed there will be no mulligans!!!
