I have a 99 with a cd changer

I have removed the cassette player to install a autocom and other elements in the glove box.

I first thought the CD changer might still work but now I am thinking the amplifier might be in the cassette.

Does anyone know?

I can live without the whole audio system and go to new school but I if the CD changer works I will leave it there... its nice to have tunes in the park.

Yup that cassette unit IS the radio/amp unit. You pull that and nothing else audio wise will work. But if you are that far along just add an MP3 or Ipod to the Autocom and be done.

Yup... I think I will go that way as I have a bunch of electronics I want out of the rain. And hey trunk space too


Question: How do you have Washington State by its lonesome... did scotty beam you there?

I moved there and rode my 78 R80 there from '87 to '90 but never left the state. I was stationed on the USS Nimitz then and I was at sea 82% of the three years we were there. Bike was shipped with the household goods.
