I just finished replacing the radio on my 07 LT, and maybe that fact is unrelated, but now when I arm the alarm, I get 4 chirps rather than usual 2. The alarm booklet says that 4 chirps means the battery internal to the alarm is discharged and that riding the bike will recharge it. However, I just finished riding for 30 minutes. Has anyone seen, or perhaps heard of this problem?

It also says consult your dealer if this continues after a lengthy journey. So you need to drive it several hours to recharge the alarm battery.

I drove it several hours and no change. I'm curious if others have seen this, or maybe most do not bother with the alarm. Perhaps the alarm internal battery has a limited life. If someone has an alarm wiring diagram, that might help. I'm wondering if the alarm has an external power source that charges the alarm internal battery and is not getting current.

thanks!!!
