Hi

I am taking the bike in today to get the first annual service done. Its only done 3500 miles so its going in on a time basis rather than miles (the service light is showing). At the break in service they didnt change the oil filter so I am keen to know what they should do this time as it is due for a service on a time basis but not miles. I would expect oil and filter as a minimum . I dont have a service schedule. Advice please - leave in 3 hours for the service.

Cheers

I guess it's too late but they should change oil and filter (yearly or every 6000 miles), flush the brakes if it's not been done(at first year then every 2 years) and change trans fluid (every 2 years or 12,000 miles).

I hope you got no unwanted surprises.

Got the first annual service done at 3500 miles:
Brake fluid changed
Engine and transmission oil changed
Oil Filter changed
Valves checked (didnt understand why ) - they said it would avoid coming in for the valves a short time later ! - They reckon the valves never need adjusting on the later RTs
Throttle synch checked

Next service due in another 6000 miles or one year

Oil used was 15/50 fully synth - and its expensive - over £50
