I had been running an HID low beam until the ballast died. Decided to replace the low beam and do the high beam this time. I found that the high beam socket wouldn't work since the cables and part of the ballast are attached to the bulb so I thought I could modify the socket to work. I cut slots in the black plastic socket to slip over the wires and drilled it out to snugly fit the extended bulb base. That part works great.

But not thinking clearly I also cut the metal socket that holds the bulb into the black base. That part didn't work out for me. So now I am looking for a new socket.

Does anyone have one for sale? It would be much quicker than ordering from the dealer. I would appreciate help on this screw up. Thanks
