OK October is here and the new models are starting to leak out. Anyone want to "share" rumors on option updates like colors, better radio, or best guesses please.

2006 R200rt

It's my understanding that the 2006 is priced a little lower than the 05.
Don, did you bite yet on a new RT, or are you holding off? If so, is it because of possible better deals on the 06 ?
Came close, but deceided to wait and see. Couldn't do better than MSRP arround here. BMW of Denver had one that was loaded. They quoted me $23,000 cash out the door. So, I left it in the door...
Update

Talked to a dealer today and was told colors are the same as '05. Did not go into details of options and EAS bundle etc. I am very afraid as I am going for a demo ride on Friday. I have been running as I know once the hook is set I cannot get away! Oh well I should be closing on a house soon so I can double up on my debt!
I had just purchased an 06 a couple days ago, with htd sts and grps CD and stereo in the dark graphite, lrg top case and maint insurance out the door with gap insurance too for 21,114. and some change.

I've had my '06 for 2 weeks now. Same colors as '05. Priced a little lower, but you only get one key, an insult for a tool kit, and virtually everything is optional.

Mine:

This is a great bike, despite the price being greater than the ST1300 by about 3 large. I'm thrilled with mine.

The "Blues"

Wonder why they don't sell the blue color in the US? It was very prominently displayed in the pre-publicity materials before they were officially introduced.

Hmm.. I never even saw the blue ones. It would be a nice addition. BTW, did anyone get a mud guard on the rear wheel with either their '05 or '06? What happened to those?
I'd like to have that bike with the in-line 4....
It's coming, Stew. Just give it a few more months. :)
The changes from 2005 to 2006 in the R1200RT are pretty minor.

The colors are the same (alas, no Biarritz blue).

The illuminated red emergency flasher button on the left handlebar is gone. To engage the dual flashers, you press simultaneously both turn signal buttons. The ambient temperature indicator in the LCD, if you have the Bordcomputer now reads accurately, whereas it read 5° to 10° too cold on the 2005 models.

In order seemingly to lower the MSRP, BMW Motorrad USA has made a lot more a la carte. For example, cruise control and heated grips are now options! Moreover, you only get one metal key and, effectively, no tool kit -- the latter ending an 80-year long BMW tradition. It's a shame that you do not get two keys and a tool kit on a motorcycle that approaches $20,000 U.S. out the door.
Thaks for the link Ken, Bike looks fabulous! Sorry I didn't post a reply earlier....
