Steer Lite

Can anyone explain exactly what front suspension parts are replaced/altered when steer lite is added during trike conversion. I had my 09 triked recently and it seems to steer much harder than an 07 that I rode prior to having mine triked. Steering is VERY easy on roads with normal curves but not on the twisties. Thanks for any info provided.
