Should I trike

I have a 2002 LT with 70,000 miles on it. I have had the throttle cables replaced and stainless steel brake lines installed. I am thinking about having the clutch replaced and then doing a Hannigan trike conversion. Is this a good idea with so many miles on the bike?

Re: Should I trike

I would not worry about the mileage. You can easily go 150,000 plus on the motor with very little work. Just replace the clutch & slave cylinder the "trike" her.

Re: Should I trike

I have 75 on mine, go ahead, mileage no problem!

I'm sure Jan would like the comfort of the trike!

Re: Should I trike

Hi! I bought a used 2000 LT with 63000 miles, triked it in 2007, have 88000 miles now, we are having a great time! 'Don' worry, be happi' !!

You will enjoy triking, except finding a dealer that will work on it!

Re: Should I trike

Hi Al, wouldn't worry too much about the mileage. As you know many LT"s out there with 100K+ miles. Instead of a trike, wonder if you ever considered a sidecar. For my money, it's a lot more fun and the passenger gets to enjoy a secure comfortable ride even in cold or wet weather with the top and side curtains installed. Provides more storage for all those travel necessities as well.
