Dragon's Finally Done

Finally got the trunk lid door back from the graphic artist. She is now all complete with about 500 miles on the new motor. Took 3rd in Custom Class at a Bike Show in Beaverton last weekend. Here are three pictures for you to look at.

3rd?
Who could have beaten you? Must have had flames coming out the dragon nostrils. What did they have to offer any pictures? I would have to be a judge. Was it graphics, innovation or politics. How broad was the competition? You still have one "H" of a machine.

Re: Dragon's Finally Done

Rather than a dragon this should be a Phoenix. It has truly risen from the ashes. Good job.

Re: Dragon's Finally Done

Thanks for the comments. Truly a Phoenix but she's my dragon. I wish I knew what the judging criteria was but the judging was done by all who attended the Show-N-Shine. Too many cruiser riders and general public attending so I didn't get the votes I needed. One of the guys who scored higher then me just had a custom paint job on a Yamaha Raider. I like set criteria, impartial judges (nothing to gain) and judges who can appriciate the work that went in to the project.

Went to a Rally last weekend. 8 trikes in my class. Won 1st place. Two weekends, two trophies. Can't go and get gas unless I have half an hour or so to answer questions.

Re: Dragon's Finally Done

Now that's what I am talking about.
Randi I don't know you except from this forum but if you were to pull up next to me or pull into the same station where I was I would hold you in conversation also. And since you already get that it should serve as a strong statement as to what a job you and Ernie have done. BMW has sober colors for their bikes and auto (not a problem) but you added a unique design which shows your individual expression. Plus the name matches. So we the audience are the real judges here and I say go for it. Make that 3 for 3. You should walk away NO! ride away with a trophy everytime you enter the Dragon in competition. I am saving your pictures to my scrapbook.

Re: Dragon's Finally Done

Cool, Randi! Hey, are those wheels powder coated? They are beautiful!

Geez, my trike looks pretty simple up against yours! Is your wife still working to help pay for this? Chuckle!!!

Sorry to have missed you at CCR in Utah a couple of years ago. Would have been fun to meet you. The venue was perfect, relaxing, and good fun. They gave a check for over $25,000 to a local organization that looks after domestic beaten ladies. The manager was in tears when accepting the check.

Maybe next CCR, eh?

Blessings

Jerry
