Trowing sparks with my Bushtec

Perfect weather today, took a ride up to my parents old house (now empty)
It's a hundred miles each way, got home right at dark,
turned of the loud rock and roll I had crankin for the last hour or so
when I turned into the alley behind my house,

immediately I heard this gawd awful grinding metallic sound,
scared me cause it sounded expensive!!!

The stand that holds up my trailer when it's parked was hanging down on the concrete,
looks to be about an inch shorter than it was this morning,
I either lost or broke the spring that holds it up,

must have been quite a sight for those behind me, sparks a flyin

Wow Hans, you planing to " torch " the highways

Good thing you didn't select reverse.

Did the spring fail or did the pin thingy not engage properly.

Cheers

Do you always take the trailer on such short trips? Or were you just showing off?
Ok, I have to admit, if I had a pretty trailer like that, I'd be pulling it on some non-essential trips too. (Just Jealous)

I have "forgotten" to put it up a couple of times. Find out real quick turning into a driveway. I carry a spare rubber foot for it.

Having "the trailer" is what kept me from having to drive the truck that gets 12-14mpg (Titan)
Seems like there's always something I have to do to their house,
a couple years ago I hauled a new complete toilet up there,
then installed it and wrapped the old one in a tarp and hauled it home
because they're rural and don't have garbage pickup,

but I'll admit I do like to show the trailer off!
always get lotsa comments at gas stations etc.

Don't blame ya there. I've seen some pics of your bike & trailer. Beautiful setup.

Re: Trowing sparks with my Bushtec

Hans, maybe thats a good way to keep the FL cagers from tailgating. I just bought a used Turbo2 from Steve in Austin. After looking at trailers for a couple of years and reading the posts I'm glad I settled on the Bushtek. Can't hardly tell it's back there.
