How do you like your trike?

My wife is having a hard time getting on and off our LT and I am considering a trike conversion. Who's got one and do you like them?
I always said I'd never have one , but you know the saying, "If momma ain't happy ain't nobody happy.

Re: How do you like your trike?

Hubby and I have a 2005 BMW trike with a Hannigan conversion. We love it! He has always had a bike, the last one being an 84 Yamaha Venture Royale. When we came across this trike, that was a one owner bike with only 1400 miles on it, we couldn't say no. We have never regreted our choice to go from 2 to 3 wheels. It took a few days for him to get used to not leaning or putting his feet down when stopped, but he has adjusted quite well.

Re: How do you like your trike?

If your wife is having trouble getting on and off the LT, then going to a triked LT will be no different. The only thing having the triked LT will do, is make the bike more stable for her to climb on and off. Other than that it will make it more stable for you as you age.

We test drove a LT trike at CCR in Osage Beach and liked it. Just handles different as you don't counter steer a trike.

If we were to look at 3 wheeled motorcycles right now, we'd be looking at the touring model of the CanAm Spyder.

Re: How do you like your trike?

It has been 3 years and 35,000 miles since I triked an '05'. Won't go back. I love this thing. My brother has a CanAm Spyder. Another excellent machine. I'm thinking of selling The Dragon and starting over with the new LT as soon as it gets out and Hannigan makes the kit for it. Attached is a picture of The Dragon.

It is not wise to meddle in the affairs of Dragons for thou art crunchy and good with katsup.
