Dauntless Liberator Sidecar

Hello,

This is my first time visiting your LT Community. I'm searching for anybody who has any experience with the Liberator. I'd like to compair notes.

The one I have is used. I bought it from the factory, and they told me it was on a gold LT in California.

Thanks,
Mike

Re: Dauntless Liberator Sidecar

Mike,
I can't comment on your sidecar since I have a Hannigan KLT on my K1200LT. But do post this over on the USCA site "sidecar.com" where you will get some action. Jay, from Dauntless is a supporter of the site. I just checked and the site is down............ perhaps this is the move from the "old server" to the new............. There is a thriving knowledgeable group at USCA and they will get you some answers if replies are a little slow here.

Re: Dauntless Liberator Sidecar

Thanks Carl,

I've been going to the USCA forum and the Yahoo SCT forum for over a year now and only found one other guy who has one. We've been comparing notes, but I'd like to find others, too.

By the way Carl, how is Hannigan to work with? And their products?

Re: Dauntless Liberator Sidecar

Mike,
Hannigan is excellent to work with. Dave Keesee does the sidecar and he is extremely well qualified, plus is a really nice person. I stayed in Murray with my Motorhome (RV Park) and Dave even picked me up and dropped me off at times with his sidecar. The engineering and design that Dave Hannigan has put into his sidecars (all) plus his trikes is something to look at. It looks totally equal to that of BMW OEM in design, fit and finish. You can roll in there early part of the week and roll out on Friday with a beautifully integrated sidecar that blends with your BMW. I have 2 wheel riders (yes, even Harley riders) chase me down to look and talk about mine. I park in front of Starbucks and it is hard to get inside. If you are an introvert.......................don't bother! Dave is also an artisan with even the details............. creating a "just right" bracket for the "tilt" switch there on the left handlebar. Every detail "just right". I am an advocate for Hannigan as you can tell.
