Talking Triked her out

Had a problem keeping my 06 upright at stop lights when I tried looking around traffic in front of me. What the heck, not about to give the bike up so had her triked out with a Hannigan kit by a trike dealer in Kissimmee Florida. Got her back 2 days before Xmas and headed down the turnpike to home. Drives and rides like a dream and the wife will now ride with me!! Best move this old man ever made.

Pictures would be great! If I may so bold, how much did it cost? I may have to do it sometime.

Trikes!!!

I picked up my trike in late October, '07. Converted a 00 LT. What a ride! I'm sort of a senior citizen, so not dropping the critter is important to me! Anyway, Love it! Hannigan has done a nice job, and the folks in Windsor, CO did a nice job of conversion!

According to Hannigan Motosports' web site, prices start at $8,795 and go up. I'm not sure what the dealers get for doing the conversion because there are hours involved and I'm sure they get their normal shop rate.

Finished conversion runs between $11K - 15K depending on the options you get. Karen and I put 33,000 mikes on ours and another 10,000 planned for this summer. The best thing about the conversion, besides being old guy friendly, is that Karen says "let's take the bike." Something she never did when we had the RT. See ya' out there

OK, Allan, we will give it a go! BTW, I am an Oregon native, sometimes called a "SNOB", as in Society of Native Oregon Born, chuckle! I think the guy who does that is in Eugene.

Anyway, here goes!

Looks like the file is too big, and I cannot make it any smaller with Picasa. I'll take some time to move it over to another program and see what I can do.

Very nice Jerry...................
BTW on a USA loop I ran into a trike shop in Arkansas.
The guy turned me onto an upholstry guy in the same own that made fender bras for me and kept the pattern for future. Cost was $100 and one day you'll want them. There in an old thread under sidecars, trikes named "fender Bras" Has photos, contact, price.....

Thanks, Allan. I'll give them a call. I have the 3 M stuff on the fenders, etc., now, but I thing I like the bra better.

BTW, I will try to attach a better photo of the trike. For obvious reasons!

Needless to say, I am learning about sizing and Picasa! Chuckle!

All the best.
