post up pics of your trikes and sidecars

The LT and GS forums have great pictures of members' bikes. We should too. I'll start with my new to me sidecar rig that I should get my hands on August 27th.

Trike Photo

I'll give it a try, but still learning to use Picasa!

Hey, Randi, remember we talked before I did the trike? Called you from Newport, even considered buying your other LT, but the wife doesn't like blue!

Hope all is well!

Re: post up pics of your trikes and sidecars

Hey Mac, Scubajgp et al,
What front tire are you using? Size, brand, etc., etc. Thanks. I will probably need one by the time I get to Gillette this summer and am seeking data points.
Thanks much.
Best,
Ben

Re: post up pics of your trikes and sidecars

Hi, Ben! I am using a Metzeler ME 880 Marathon on the front. It was on the bike when I bought it last year. I have read a post someplace here about using a particular tire on the front of a trike, but mounted backward. I'll see if I can find that post.

Aw, Ben, I found the posting, and see you have been there several times! chuckle!

Good luck! I will probably try that Pilot rear tire before CCR.

I intend to try the Pilot Activ too. It sounds like the hot setup and it appears that there is room for the 130/70 under the fender and between the forks. Are you coming to Gillette in July?

Almost 5 years I had a Champion Trailer behind my Venture and my Goldwing.

Since two years I ride a K 1200 LT Mod. 2000 with a Squire trailer behind and I tell you what: I just love this combination

Re: post up pics of your trikes and sidecars

Just had my 02 converted by NECE of Windsor, Co., in September. Can't say how much more I enjoy the 1200! Folks at NECE are great to work with, and they work around the clock to keep your out of town stay to a minimum. I delivered my bike at 6 pm, on Thursday, had dinner with them. He excused himself at 7 pm, off-loaded my bike, and went to work. At 10:30 am on Saturday, I came to the shop to check on it's progress, and found my bike was gone! They were taking out for a test ride. They spent about 30 minutes riding with me to advise if necessary, and we then loaded up and were on the road to Oregon by 1 pm!

Couldn't ask for better service or an overall experience!
