Question 1st Time Trailering, straping suggestions?

My 17 year old son and I are planning a trip (guy vacation) from Texas to Colorado next week. We are taking two dirt bikes loaded in the bed of my pickup as well as trailering my 99 LT Icon model. (I can't imagine being that close to the mountains and not planning a few road riding days...) This is the first time I have trailered the bike K12LT. We have a flat bed trailer (approx 6X8, wooden deck, with metal side rails) for the trip. Any suggestions on strapping points, securing the bike, cautions, etc...

here is how I have done mine, I took pics and put them on a web page here, you can also add or use one around the rear bottom of the saddle bags, which I think there are pics as well of that anyhow here is the link, too bad I didn't see this sooner as I make straps specifically for this and sell them
