Exclamation Tech Session!

I commented a number of weeks ago about the need for a Tech Session. I have a laundry list of maintenance/repair items for the k1200 and 1150gs. I've got a set of Ohlins to install and I have a replacement clutch slave cylinder. Most of the maintenance and the Ohlins install I'm comfortable doing, not so the clutch slave, and I also need to borrow a revised 30mm socket.

I am open to hosting the Tech Session but can really only accommodate 4 bikes, mine plus 3 others. (I live in a gated community that takes a dim view of wrenching, particularly on motorcycles.) I looked at the calendar and would like to consider Dec 27, Jan 2 or Jan 3. I'm more than happy to have others kibitzing so feel free to participate, just limited on working space. (Have adequate set of tools, air compressor, drill press - do not have a bike lift.)

Please let me know your interest, and if the dates above don't work let me know what does work. It might be better for all to consider alternative dates.

Merry Christmas all....

Tom

PM me your address and I can send you a 30mm socket and allen wrench to borrow if nobody coming has one.

Talking Re: Tech Session!

Hey Dan,

Thanks for the offer. I'm hoping I can entice one of the locals to bring their socket. This way we can avoid the risk of losing yours in transit.

It is possible I may be shouting back at you if the other guy falls through.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Tom

Re: Tech Session!

I'm interested, and even have a socket around here somewhere, but am out of state until well after the holidays. Hopefully, others will chime in soon that can make it.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Re: Tech Session!

I have the socket and allen if you need one, someone would just have to swing by and pick it up at my house in Torrance.

Question Re: Tech Session!

Ken,

When do you return? Who knows... my dates may not accommodate everyone's schedule.

Re: Tech Session!

I too have the modified 30mm socket allen wrench, and the long drill bit for the weep hole.
Dec 27 won't work for me but the 1 weekend of the year is a possibility.
Doug, when do you want to do your shocks? What else do you need done on your bike?
