Georgia Mountain Rally - May 5-8, 2006

there was a converstaion during STC, that some events may not be heard of if kept in a particular regions forum. I agree to an extent,
That said how can we change this?, or add to it?

For instance the Georgia mountain rally will be may 5-7th
http://www.bmwmoga.info how many from this list are going to be there?

Sure would like to meet some more folks

Tom

I think the solution to that is to always use the "New Activity" button. I used to pick and choose which forums to follow, but now that I use the New Activity search I'm kept current on all threads. Nice feature.

If some threads (e.g., regional) are not part of the New Activity feature then that is a problem -- bad assumption on my part.

I believe all forums are included in the New Activity feature. However, I wonder just how many people use this feature like you and I do. It's really only useful for daily addicts. Casual surfers of bmwlt.com probably just browse the K1200LT forum and maybe Classifieds and Chit Chat...and perhaps their regional forum.

Sorry to hijack the thread Tom. As for GMR...I wish! Might be a little too soon since STC. But who knows? You never know when 'the messenger' will come aknockin'.

Exclamation I Got It!!!

I got the "kitchen pass" to come down to the GA Mountain Rally today!!! Woohoo!!! We had an obligation this coming Friday evening, but my wife mentioned she wanted to back out of it. So that opened the door for me to ask about going to the rally. She just looked at me and asked, "When are you leaving, and when will you be back?". Man! I love that girl!

See y'all there! Now I have to figure out which bike to ride . . . again.

You ride the Ninja and you'll be the "Odd Man Out". Then again that doesn't change things much does it? I may try and get up late in the day on Saturday as I've got a CMA run to make earlier.

Ride safe everyone.

Steve

Exclamation Yikes!!!

While checking out the GMR site...I watched the little slideshow of last year's rally. There sure was some motley-looking characters there last year! Be afraid . . . be VERY afraid.

Joe/Steve,
We'll have a CMA booth set up this year at the rally, stop by and visit a spell. Maybe we can hook up for a ride or sumptin.

Interesting Tom. The last time I was there I didn't see anything but Beemers. But then again I guess since that's all I ride, I wasn't looking for anything else. Come on down Joe, we'd love to have you in our part of the country again, on either bike. As for me, I don't even want to ask to ride your bike, it might cause the purchase of something that can get me hurt a lot quicker than the LT.

On His Ride,
Steve
