December and still rockin the mesh jacket

75 today in Johns Creek (Atlanta) Guess this is the upside to global warming. But I wouldn't mind a cold snap to kill off the gnats. Seems they are always waiting to ambush you when coming to a stop at intersections.

Forecast is for 60s and 70s for the next 7 days, guess this makes up for a near record number of 100+ days in August.

Gnats?! DAM!!
They were a PITA every Spring when I lived in New England.

Re: December and still rockin the mesh jacket

Lately I've been going between my heavy leather jacket in the early AM to my mesh one after the the sun comes up. Layers is the key around here. It's real hard to complain about the weather in Florida between October and May. Or maybe I should say climate!

You guys want to complain about weather;take a ride to Michigan today.
You would have to have snow tires on;you could not be able to bundle up enough.... DARE to bet you would never complain about your weather again.
LTs take a nap for a few months.

Re: December and still rockin the mesh jacket

So much for mesh jackets, weather officially sucks now. Been in a cage for the past four weeks, in part because I've got to be in a client's office from 8 to 5. And now we're expecting a severe thunderstorm. Hopefully bike commuting can resume by March.

Re: December and still rockin the mesh jacket

Whose complaining?
We could always organize some kind of exchange program. Here is how it would work get together with perhaps your best riding buddy to the north snow country and we do the same. Then on some agreed upon date we switch you come north and we come south. You get to bring your choice of bike with you.
Gnats, mosquitoes what's the difference. I bet I could deal with them much better than ice, snow, and salt Everybody don't jump at the offer all at the same time 46 with sun yesterday and 61 with rain today it all goes downhill tonight back to real Old Chicago climate.

Chicago forecast: tonight freezing drizzle, Thursday - wintry mix, but on the bright side this Saturday it's sunny , 10% chance of rain and a high of 34. Not too shabby

OK don't rub it in.
Yes we have been spared the brunt of a brutal winter so far and have had a few glimpses of brighter days. So anything above freezing in February is a ++
I should have been a weather person cause no one watches the weather like I do. Been to Atlanta many times (auto) never complained about heat. Did encounter snow at a funeral your winter and terrible rain in the summer(wipers were useless) Wish I could wear my mesh jacket
