Lost & Found at The Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge

I left a Nikon pocket digital camera at last month's SMFR gathering at the Iron Horse. They have looked around (my room, the garage/workshop, other common areas) but didn't find it. By any chance did anyone see it...?

I had it Friday night when I took photos of John Z. working on my bike. It's possible I stuck it in some out-of-the-way place and it's here at home, but I was traveling pretty light for that little trip. I've looked everywhere.

Re: Lost & Found at The Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge

Sorry to hear you lost your camera, Howard. Any luck that it made it home, stashed in some spot on the LT?

Re: Lost & Found at The Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge

I've looked everywhere, several times - on the bike and in the gear I had on and took with me. I even had Mrs. Hschisler look; hated to admit that, but I wanted to find the camera.

I had the camera Friday evening at the Iron Horse and I did not have it with me Sunday when I packed to leave. That's why I think I left it there.

I would give Randy a call at Iron Horse. It might be in the garage.

That is a good idea, and I did that when I returned home the next day. I suspect it's still in the garage; I was snapping quite a few photos off and on and I'll bet I just put it down somewhere and promptly forgot about it. They checked there, in my room, and in the pavilion. No luck, but I'll bet it shows up in the garage some day.

Thanks, John.

Re: Lost & Found at The Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge - UPDATE

Update:

Ding ding ding! Randy from The Iron Horse called today. Some 6 months after I lost my camera there, they found it. It was down in the cushions of the sectional/sofa thing in the pavilion. He turned the camera on (it still had a charge), saw the photos of my bike and remembered our conversations about the missing camera, looked up my phone number and called me, and it's on its way home.

I'm glad to share this info with you, as one more example of the caliber of folks at the IH. If the camera had never turned up my opinion would have been unchanged; they're great people. The camera's MIA status was my fault, not theirs.

That is amazing Howard. I wonder if they ever found that $100 bill I lost up there two years ago...

Excellent.

Now I have something worth lots more than your missing hundred bucks: photos of you replacing the seal (transmission output?) on my LT. Priceless.

Re: Lost & Found at The Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge

That happened to me 3 or 4 years ago. I was at Barber for the AMA Superbike race. As we were leaving I has a hand full of things that I sat on the ground to empty out a small cooler of ice. I must have missed picking up the camera bag & did not no till I got home the next day. I call Barber a few times but no luck. About 7 months later I get a call from some one in Birmingham who said he had my camera that he found at the AMA's in Barber. Much like Howards' story he tracked me down from some of the pictures I had taken.
