I'm thinking maybe here www.punchysdiner.com and leaving there at 8:00 am. How about 11:00 here www.aaftankmuseum.com/ instead of 10:00 am ?.

Museum looks like an interesting place and I know about where it is. Nice name for a town!

Wish I could join you'all but this is a busy skydiving time of the years down here. Good thing you have heated seats and hand-grips too. Bundle up as it going to be a chilly day... and a great one to be heading south.

Hmmm. That might be one I can do! Be good to see you again, Lee- you been ridin in the wet lately, lol. And it'd be nice to finally meet the famous Dave...

Might even bring along some riders (mostly HD) from our American Legion Riders group.

I'll check with the boss.

Dave,
Punchy's will work. Sounds good.

Norwood,
Good to hear from you. I try to stay out of the wet as best I can. Man, did we ever get wet that day going to the Wheels Through Time Museum. Hope you can make it on the 19th. It'll be good to see you. Bring as many riders as you can round up. Rope 'em and drag 'em if you have to. You know LaNett will enjoy seeing the tanks. Wouldn't any woman? Well, not my wife, but she's the exception.

Re: Tank & Ordnance Museum RTE Nov. 19th

Dano,
I know you're busy what with diving with the Sand Tiger Sharks and throwing yourself out of a perfectly good airplane. Excuse me. You told me last April that there are NO perfectly good airplanes, just airplanes that haven't had something catastrophic happen yet! All that exciting stuff is a huge draw, but you sure you can't stay dry, on the ground, come up our way, and go to the museum with us? Come on! It's not that far!

Good job, Jessie. I knew if you kept screwing up, they'd stop inviting you back!

I'm meeting Dave at his place at 6:20. You want to meet there and ride over to Punchy's together?

Re: Tank & Ordnance Museum RTE Nov. 19th

We had a good turn out considering the temp's were in the mid 20's & didn't get much warmer for the first three hours 14 bikes, 16 people & 1 dog. Lee Wilson brought his son Jason & he was a trooper all day putting up with the cold ride & museum (it's not heated) and us old geezers Jason. The museum was fantastic it's huge And the displays are incredible. As with most museums no flashes are allowed so I only took one pic. inside of Jason.

Re: Tank & Ordnance Museum RTE Nov. 19th

Good pix, Dave. I had my camera with me, but left it in the top case. As it turned out, I would have had time to go back and get it and not been separated from the group. Took a bit to get so many people admitted. Thanks for posting the one of Jason. I'll have to show it to him tomorrow. He's already gone to bed! He hasn't gone to be this early since he was 4! Might need to take him on long trips more often.

It was a bit nippy at the start and getting that way at the end. 47 when I got home. The museum was excellent. Lots of dioramas set up to show the equipment at work. Lots of time and effort went into the place. Extensive displays of headwear and small arms. Well worth the trip.

I've got his phone # if you want to call and ask him .

I was taking a picture of that dog that just about got us thrown out before we even paid to get in the museum. I never thought I would need to put no pets allowed in a ride post .
