Tires in Atlanta

I just posted a thread about the tread left on a Metzeler.

Anyone in Atlanta know where I can get a set of Metzelers in Atlanta?

The dealer is not open right now (8:30pm local time right now)

Thanks in advance.

Paul

Re: Tires in Atlanta

Paul,

BMW Motorcycles of Atlanta - 770-984-9844, 1750 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, Blue Moon Motorcycles (BMW Dealer) - 770-447-6945, 752 West Peachtree St, Norcross, and Two Brothers Tires - 770-963-7374, 165 Maddox St, Lawrenceville. Both BMW dealers will/should have the correct Metzler tire for your ride. Two Brothers have tires for HDs and Goldwings, so they might have a the correct load rated and sized Metzeler for you.

I usually go to BMW of Atlanta to get my bike worked on when it is something I don't want to fuss with and tires when I'm in a hurry. The crew there is good.

Re: Tires in Atlanta

I live about 100 miles south of Atlanta.

I have a brand new rear Metzeler hanging in my garage if you need it.

If you are in Altanta, I recommend BMW of Atlanta.

Re: Tires in Atlanta

I spoke to BMW Ducati Husqvarna Motorcycles of Atlanta and they had a set in stock.

$509 installed.

Plus they wanted an extra $10 for new valve stems.

Got here around 10:30 am.

They got me right in.

This place has a ton of BMW accessories.

Nice dealership.

Re: Tires in Atlanta

Not much I can do to help you now but I just had a new set of ME880s installed at Destination in Knoxville.

Front $135
Rear $ 181
Labor $!00
+ tax

I could have saved $50 on labor if I had taken the wheels off myself.

I know it's pricey, but you are paying Atlanta prices.

They are a great dealership and always make time for folks on a long distance trip.

Nothing quite like new rubber!

Re: Tires in Atlanta

It took a total of 1 hour from the time I got there to the time the reciept was printed.

I am happy with the price as they had what I needed and got in and out in minimal time.

The price was fair as it would have been just about the same to have tires shipped to me and then get the put on in Orlando.

PROPS to BMW Motorcycle of Orlando....

That's why I run the Mez. front & the BT020 rear. I get 16,000 to 20,000 miles with the combo. & installed out the door at Saddlemans Garage (the dump behind my house) with new steel valve stems your looking at about $340.
