Re: U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Toy Run

At the first annual Toys for Tots Toy Run sponsored by Open Road Cycles about 125 bikes showed up. Almost 200 toys were given to the Lincoln County Marine Reserves to be distributed. Also almost 2000 dollars was raised for the Wounded Warriors Fund.

Considering there was a chance of rain & the temperature was in the lower 40s I thought the turn out was good. There were two BMWs & guess who were about the only riders prepared for a 1 1/2 hour ride?. After the ride I've never heard so many complaints about being cold.

I got there 2 1/2 hours early and enjoyed talking to the Marines & looking at all the bikes. I have three nephews in the military right now & one just finished sniper training in the Marines. He will be heading to Afghanistan soon.
