Re: Eldridge Children's Home Event

I worked a little today on decorating my LT for the ride. I have a custom painted rocking chair & I found a Rudolph Holiday Greeter that fits the chair.

The first two pictures is the way it mounts the easiest & the wind won't try to blow it off. I like the way it looks in pictures 3 & 4 but it would take a lot more to secure it & the wind would be trying to blow it upward. What do ya think guys.

Re: Eldridge Children's Home Event

I had a wonderful time today & met several other riders. Watching the children running around & having such a fun day is worth every minute of riding there.

Thanks for the invite Don.

Re: Eldridge Children's Home Event

Dave, thanks for posting the pictures....as you can see we have a wide range in ages of the children at the home....

The houses in the background is located around the perimeter of the campus and house the house-parents along with the children....

The building where the stage was is a Open-air pavilion, with roll up door all around the pavilion to open up during the summer months as well...

Our benefit team started the pavilion project after renting a tent for several years....donations from folks and attendees are making the payments on the pavilion.... this is a real asset to the campus and will allow other fund raising benefits to be held to aid the mission of the home and held sustain it.

Re: Eldridge Children's Home Event

I hate that I missed this. Jan and I really wanted to go this year. But our grandson just finished Marine boot camp and his graduation at Paris Island was that day. We went to it. This was the first military graduation that I have been to. It was extremely emotional. If you can sit through one of these without wiping a tear, then you need to move to Canada or Mexico or somewhere. We are very proud of him
