Question Gray Seats

I'm looking to get back in the saddle and could use some advise on whether there are any special considerations to the gray colored seats. Does anyone know if there is an issue with keeping them clean, mold, etc?

I'm not worried about the comfort because I use an Airhawk cushion on rides over 4 hours.

Thanks.

Re: Gray Seats

I had the grey seat option on a couple of previous BMW's....R1200GS.....normal bike washing keeps them clean.....

Re: Gray Seats

I have the gray seats on my '05 LT. Unlike the previous reply, they have always (IMO) been too fussy. They show wear patterns from normal usage; a really strange thing happens when we sit on them during the rain - they get a mottled appearance on the fabric. A good cleaning with ArmorAll's detailing spray (not quite sure of the product name, but I can get it for you if are interested) restores the original appearance.

Re: Gray Seats

Thanks for updates...I just want to know what I'm getting in to. Don't mind a little extra cleaning as long as they can be well maintained.
